Bringing Comfy Back.

From Xbox lovers to PlayStation pros, every gamer knows the rush of leveling up - and what it takes to get there. For the guys at Game Over? Their time came back in the summer of 2020 when they approached Kubix looking for a website refresh.

Game Over - a leader in console seating - was born out of a passion to bring a comfort revolution to the gaming world. How? Through developing a bean bag chair that would make all day gaming a breeze. And their products are not just made for gamers - as players themselves, the guys at Game Over can proudly say that their bean bags are made by gamers too. With features like a headphone hook, water-resistant fabric, and an ergonomic design, these guys know their stuff, and they were ready to share it with the world. After pressing play on their passion, they began to make a name for themselves within the local gaming community.

Although Game Over already had a solid foundation for their store on Shopify, the team knew that they needed to push a little more on the accelerator if they wanted to level up their reach and increase their sales. Enter Player Two: Kubix. With a bunch of avid gamers amongst our team already, we were eager to get plugged in.

Game On.

Game Over’s old website was already bringing in some steady sales, but it needed something more if it was going to reach the masses. The answer? A full theme refresh with a redesign that would streamline the store and highlight their products, whilst still retaining the brand’s iconic identity.

With only a small product offering, it was their classic bean bag gaming chair that made up 90% of the company’s sales. So, with this in mind, we knew that an eye-catching product page needed to be the main attraction. With key features to shout about and plenty of product details to include, our team of experts got to work on a custom layout that would hold just as much prominence as the homepage.

Beyond the design, there was a timeline to take into account too. With Black Friday just around the corner, our team was tasked with getting the new site ready in time for a booming Black Friday Sale. With additional COVID-19 restrictions forcing most people to stay at home, there was never a better time to get these gaming chairs out to a wider market.

The results? 4x sales in three months.

Sitting Pretty.

The team were hoping for a booming Black Friday and that’s exactly what they got. The site launched full steam ahead into the sales week with a marketing campaign to match. The new website welcomed Black Friday bargain hunters with a clean, streamlined store that was not only easy to navigate, but that let them know exactly what Game Over was all about, and what made their products a worthy investment.

Now with a successful Black Friday behind them and a world of possibilities ahead, Game Over have stayed on board with Kubix and there’s no chance of us hitting the pause button any time soon. We’ve picked up our creative consoles and we’ve got the next level firmly in sight.
