After hearing rave reviews about Shopify’s simplicity, they wanted to see real-time examples of how switching to Shopify could help them sell online. After one meeting and more samples of our work, Joe stepped on board for a brand new Chickidee site. They didn’t just want to move to Shopify. They chose to upgrade to Shopify Plus, with the potential for some serious marketing upon completion.

One of Chickidee’s biggest requests was to have a website that was as adaptable as their product range, to cope with the seasonality of their stock and the ever-changing trends that appeared in homeware stores. Because of this, we knew that they’d love Shopify and its editable sections. After a design discovery session and then the full development of the homepage, product and collection pages, the new store went live.

The next challenge was to massively increase the number of visitors to the website. Chickidee stock is recognisable across the country, but not everyone was shopping with them directly. Within our first couple of months, the Kubix team had doubled the shop’s online revenue by introducing Facebook ads and incentivising customers with a new loyalty programme via email. We introduced flash sales to shift older stock and sent regular emails out to their data list to entice regular customers to keep coming back for more. The strategy worked and Chickidee’s sales continued to grow month by month.

And now? Chickidee’s relationship with Shopify is just beginning. Joe and his team are thrilled to have migrated when they did, and now they have six months of increased revenue to show for it. Having already embraced the Shopify ecosystem, they are looking to scale their stores with Shopify’s offline POS solutions too.

Our Kubix team has helped them with a full-scale marketing package that includes Google ads, Facebook ads, SEO, email marketing/automation and CRO to ensure that the site stays fresh and exciting for its customers. Since implementing a new Google ad campaign and splitting their products into price point groups, these steps have significantly increased online revenue (over 10X!). By allowing Kubix to focus on the finer details of their ads, analysis and customer retention, Joe and his team have been able to work on the wider business and its impact on protecting the planet. Chickidee’s mantra is still ‘Shop Via Your Values’. And this is something that Kubix is happy to get behind.
