The first step in any Shopify migration is transferring any data from the previous site. Our team got to work doing just that, moving across all the products, customers, categories, 301 redirects, and more. Next came the theme development, which really let the brand’s personality shine through. The combination of development and integration of specific apps enabled us to create a truly personal experience for the customers of Hampers & Co. Upon launching, customers would now have the ability to choose a specific delivery date for orders, receive handwritten cards with every hamper, and add personalised messages directly on the product pages. One particular request? That this new site would be much simpler to use on mobile, suiting it to the older generation of customers who would benefit from a larger, easy-to-navigate interface. Our team made it happen.
Alongside the development of the theme, it was important for us to fine-tune the navigation and making sure that the backend coordinated well with the systems they already had in place. Hampers & Co were already set up with warehouse software that pulled through delivery dates and prints off labels and gift messages, and we needed to make sure that their new site was well adapted, meaning it would perfectly integrate with their present way of working.
