Pay Per Click advertising, or PPC, can take several forms and is often considered synonymous with the vast majority of online advertising options, purely as most adhere to the PPC model (i.e. that every “click” on an advert is charged). However, it is most commonly associated with search engine marketing and Google’s AdWords platform.
PPC ads can be found all over the internet, but they’re perhaps best known for sitting at the very top of most Google search engine results pages – which is good, given that it’s probably the most lucrative piece of real estate on the entire internet!
In more recent times, the definition has extended to include paid advertising on social media platforms including Facebook and Twitter, which offer superb opportunities to not just sell your products or generate leads, but to introduce huge numbers of engaged viewers to your brand.
